Mr Treweeke thanked all competitors, sponsors and judges for their efforts in making the competition such a great success and the welcome he received by all involved in the competition.
In the spring shorn Gavin and Casper McDonald “Aberdeen” Diamond Road were first. This flock also came first in this section last year.
Anthony Selmes, “Glenayr” came second.
John and Michael Lowe “Innisvale” Crookwell came third.
Hollywood Pastoral Co with Scott Kensit manager came fourth. This is “Hollywood’s” first showing in the finals.
In the long wool section Brad and Maria Cartwright “Kempton” Laggan were first.
Brian and Helen Anderson of “Lower Sylvia Vale” Binda came second.
Third place went to Dan Fitzell “Flowerburn” Peelwood.
Shannon Arnall “Carinya” Laggan was fourth.
After the winners in both categories were named the overall champion flock was announced.
Gavin and Casper McDonald were crowned the winners for 2018.
The winners of both sections have been invited to compete in a regional flock ewe competition.
The Australian Wool Network award was announced next and Tony and Natalie Hewitt “Galmara” Wheeo were selected by the judges for this award.
